🐾 How to Get a Puppy

We are committed to breeding healthy, stable, and high-quality dogs that meet breed standards.
One of our top priorities is temperament – which is why we invest heavily in early puppy socialization from the very first days.

Our puppies are:

  • exposed to everyday sounds and stimuli,

  • socialized with children and adults of all ages,

  • introduced to car rides, other dogs, and various surfaces.

🧬 Health & Responsibility

All of our breeding dogs undergo the full set of health tests required by the Slovenian Kennel Club (KZS) and the breed club regulations.
By the time they leave us, every puppy is:

  • dewormed multiple times,

  • vaccinated,

  • microchipped,

  • vet-checked,

  • and goes to the new home only with a signed contract.

❤️ Matching with New Owners

Our goal is to find loving, responsible homes – we don’t sell dogs on a “first come, first served” basis.
Each puppy has its own personality, so we make the final choice carefully, based on your lifestyle and expectations.

For us, it’s important that:

  • we get to know you well,

  • you understand the breed and the responsibility,

  • and we connect as partners in this journey.

📦 Puppy Pack

When your puppy goes home, you will receive a Puppy Pack that includes:

  • a copy of the signed contract,

  • a copy of the official pedigree,

  • a pet passport with veterinary records,

  • a sample of their food,

  • a blanket with the litter’s scent,

  • some toys,

  • a guide with instructions for the first days at home,

  • and a few extra surprises.

Puppies are sold as companion pets only (not for breeding or showing), unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Owning a dog involves the costs of quality food, proper housing, secure fencing, training, and veterinary care.

🐾 1. Reach Out to Us

Start by filling in our contact form. Tell us about your lifestyle, your experience with dogs, and your hopes for your future pup. The more we know, the better we can guide you.

🐾 2. Let’s Meet

After reading your application, we’ll get in touch – first by email, and, whenever possible, we love to meet in person. This isn’t an interview, it’s a friendly conversation about the breed, your home, and your vision of life with a dog. 🐕

🐾 3. Reservation

If we both feel it’s a perfect fit, you can reserve your puppy with a small deposit. From that moment, your journey as part of the Poisson Ivy family begins.

🐾 4. Watching Them Grow

From the day they are born, you’ll receive photos, videos, and updates. You’ll see their personalities blossom long before you hold them in your arms.

🐾 5. Homecoming Day

At around 8 weeks old, your puppy will be ready to join you. Along with your new best friend, you’ll receive:

  • FCI pedigree

  • Signed contract

  • Veterinary booklet with all health records

  • Starter pack (food, blanket with litter scent, toys)

  • And our lifelong support ❤️

Because for us, the day you take your puppy home isn’t the end – it’s the beginning of a lifelong bond.
